Introduction

There has been much talk about using portfolios as a possible way of documenting learning and/or work, in particular with respect to acquiring knowledge and know-how. As I am particularly interested in processes for developing knowledge, I decided to create my own portfolio and experiment how that would work. Nothing better than first hand experience for getting to understand something more deeply. As a result, this is an experiment and all that you can find here is work in progress.

At this early stage of my work, the portfolio is divided up into a small number of parts:

  • The portfolio itself, tracing the work done in identifying and developing knowledge in various areas and giving an idea of the learning process as I have gen through it.
  • The reference material, that is to say, the "documentation" of some of the work done, illustrating and sharing that work, providing a source of possible knowledge for others.
  • A bibliography of books studied. Later I hope to add links and possibly references to people who have acted as sources of information and help.
  • Thoughts about portfolios arising from the work here and possibly things read or discussed elsewhere.
